Buck Spring Plantation POA Committees
Participation on a committee(s) is encouraged and welcomed. It is not a requirement to be on the BSP board to participate on a committee.
Architectural Review Committee (ARC)
Our community is a deed restricted community. The purpose of the Architectural Review Committee is to evaluate and approve any requests for property additions or changes to assure that they meet BSP POA restrictive covenants and bylaws. As well as to ensure that architectural and community standards are upheld and enforced fairly and uniformly to maintain the community’s appearance and property values.
Executive Committee
The Executive committee consists of the President, Vice President, and Treasurer. The purpose of the Executive Committee is to evaluate and act on ordinary business of BSPPOA between board meetings. This may include paying bills, collection of dues, providing updates of account status for real estate closings, preparation of annual meeting documents etc.
Offshore Committee
The purpose of the offshore committee is to have a voice and bring any concerns and issues of the offshore owners to the board.
Legal committee and Reserve Study Committee
The purpose of the Legal and Reserve Study committee is to establish and maintain relationship with attorneys when legal matters of the community may arise such as collections of past due payment for assessments or enforcement of violations of the restricted covenants when all reasonable measures have been exhausted by the volunteer board. Additionally, to periodically review and update the reserve study to assure the communities assets and the costs and funding for future maintenance of these assets are kept current.
Compliance Committee
The purpose of the Compliance Committee is to 1: Review reported violations of the Restrictive Covenants. and 2: Notify the owner of the property of the violation and finally 3: Take corrective measures as allowed by the Bylaws and Restrictive Covenants to bring the violation into compliance.
Social Committee
The Social committee is responsible for organizing social or extracurricular events to get owners engaged with the community. Social committee ideas may include hosting community gatherings to meet, greet and promote fellowship with neighbors such as : Oktoberfest, Annual Holiday gathering, Chili cook-off or other social events that foster community engagement .
Grounds (landscape) & Structures Maintenance Committee
The purpose of the Grounds & Structures Maintenance committee is to oversee the ongoing maintenance of the grounds, infrastructure, and common areas of the community. This includes the roads, ditches, stormwater devices, roadside, signs, boat ramp and both picnic pavilions.
Any property owner whose assessments are paid and in good standing, may request to join these committees at any time. If you have an interest in serving, please send a message through the portal or let another board member know. The board welcomes appropriate participation.
